Children’s Medical Center Foundation

The Challenge

Children’s Medical Center Foundation is based in Dallas and raises funds to support Children’s Health – the nation’s 8th largest pediatric healthcare system. When the foundation was getting set to launch a multi-year campaign, they turned to us for help creating the massive amount of donor communications content that will help make the campaign a success.

How We Help

We met with the fundraising communications team to understand their needs, goals and audience. Then we developed a customized creative brief that helps the foundation team identify key goals, messages and themes for each project. This helps them identify how the project maps to overall goals and ensures that each project starts on solid ground. From there, our initial work has included:

  • Writing patient ambassador stories that showcase how philanthropy helps Children’s Health deliver lifesaving care to kids across Texas.
  • Writing profiles of donors, physicians and patient families that are used to support a variety of fundraising events and initiatives.
What’s Ahead

The Children’s team was so excited about our initial content that they expanded our contract to make sure we’re available for ongoing support. As they move deeper into their campaign, our future work will likely include projects like developed templated ‘thank you’ letters for donors at various levels. These will save time by helping the foundation thank every donor without crafting each letter from scratch.
